I know you must have questions… I know I did! And there were even some questions I didn’t know to ask. I’m hoping to help you sort some of these questions out! Considering any orthodontic treatment can feel daunting, and there is so much information out there. But moms like ME who have been through it are here to help!
Here follows 5 pretty common questions we moms have about Invisalign treatment. Oh, and the answers!
“Will Invisalign treatment work for my teen’s smile?” From crowding gaps to overbites and underbites, Invisalign treatment can treat both simple and complex cases. You just might be surprised. I know I was surprised to learn my daughter’s overbite would be treatable through Invisalign aligners.
“Is the cost of Invisalign treatment comparable to braces?” Invisalign treatment costs about the same as traditional braces, and many insurance plans offer similar coverage as well. Woo-hoo!
“Can they do weekly aligner changes?” The option of weekly aligner changes mean treatment can move up to 2x faster (compared to two week aligner wear).
“What if they don’t wear the aligners?” 94% of experienced Invisalign orthodontists say teens in their practice are compliant with treatment. My daughter is so motivated to finish treatment, and she knows consistency will speed things along… so, in our case… it’s not been a concern or conflict at all. *See infographic for more detailed info.
“What if they don’t like Invisalign treatment?” If they aren’t happy within the first 6 months of treatment they can switch to braces at no additional cost. (Participating orthodontists only)

I think it’s been a great fit for my daughter. She’s a bit forgetful, so I was a bit nervous at first. The thing is, she wants that flawless smile (she just hates the overbite issue)… and though her wearing hasn’t been flawless – I have been impressed. She wants to complete treatment as quickly as possible, so she is pretty darn good about wearing and caring for her aligners.
