Have you seen that video(s) on YouTube where the guy puts a watermelon on ice, and salt… and eventually gets it to charge his iPhone?
A WATERMELON AS PHONE CHARGER, WHAT?!
That’s what I asked too. I was not a believer. So I decided to take on the task of seeing if the claim was hoax or truth.
I’ll give you one guess as to what I found to be the answer…
I don’t know if I did anything wrong.
And I’m lucky the banana goo didn’t destroy me charger.
And really… what’s the point and/or benefit of using a watermelong to charge your phone? I mean, I used probably half that container of salt. And the watermelon…
Well, maybe that was the problem. It wasn’t a very good watermelon.
Or did the watermelon go bad because it was impaled, frozen, and desperately salted.
We may never know.
Because I am not going to try that again because it was a HUGE waste of time and energy.
Plus my camera has a focusing issue and I’m mad at my camera too.
It all just left a bad taste in my mouth.
And an uncharged phone.
So much for that brilliant idea of carrying a frozen watermelon and salt around as my back-up charge plan.
Right?
