I was off on some nature hike or another… I may or may not have been in the company of 14 active 4th graders… when LO AND BEHOLD…

Happy Sunday!
I am taking off tomorrow morning for a 3 day trip with the 4th graders at my daughter’s school. Something about OUTDOOR education or something crazy like that.
All I know is, my fear of being cold drove me to buy my first pair of hiking shoes (waterproof!) and wool socks.
And all I want to know is, WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME OF THE MAGIC OF WOOL SOCKS AND WATERPROOF SHOES?
I have lived in the Pacific NorthWET for almost 15 years and alls I ever hear about are socks with Birkenstocks. Or Tevas.
Which, my the way, I only ever wore socks with Birkenstocks in COLLEGE. When I lived in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
It makes no sense.
Aaaaanywho…Â LONG LIVE WARM FEET ON FIELD TRIPS, or parades, or at the pumpkin patch!!! Good golly people… my feet have been cold for FIFTEEN YEARS! Salvation is at hand!!!
