OMGosh you guys!
I can call you, “You guys!”, right?
I was all gonna do a road trip update every day AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED??!!!
Um… VISITING with people IRL has happened!
You know what that means?
I AM VISITING AND NOT BLOGGING.
Weird, right?
You are probably worried. Wondering if we are safe…
::crickets chirp::
An aside, the more I think about telling the story of this road trip, the more I realize I am obsessed with FOOD.
::sigh::
So. An abbreviated Day 2.
We spent Day 2 with the Parkes. We’ve known The Parkes for 10 years.
We love they.
And hate that they moved away and ruined our lives.
The only *thing* missing on this day (Road Trip Day 2) was their daughter. She was away at camp. But, as you can see, the children were able to work through their grief.
I actually took very few pictures on account of all the visiting we were doing.
There was more poolside splashing.
And talking…
There was a walk around the neighborhood.
And talking…
There was a mid-day beverage-o-certain delight.
And talking!
And then the adults went out to dinner!
And THANK GOODNESS people are held together by skin and not stitches because I surely would have fallen apart from seam-splitting laughter…

Actually, Jenn has some. But we all made a pact that a few will never leave our phones.
