IT’S HAMMER SANTA TIME!!!

On Friday, the kids and I hopped the ferry and headed to the Emerald City — SEATTLE to visit Macy’s Santaland

Seattle Macy's Santaland

My 2 older kiddos would not engage Old Man Christmas. However, Lucy… She nearly crawled out of her skin waiting to get her time with him!

Pictures with Santa at Santaland... Seattle Macy's

Oh! Who’s that? That’s not just Lucy with Santa! Who are all those ladies in that other picture? Well, there’s (front from left) Alli from No Time for Flashcards, Marie from Make and Takes, Lousie from Mom Start, Lyndsey from The Stationery Place, (back from left) Tammy from Tammy’s Two Cents, Me, Kat from Mama’s Losin It, and Mandy from The Haps!

So… the kids got photos with Santa… Well, the ones who weren’t too cool or too afraid.  I put my son in charge of the camera (one of the cool ones) while we were there. I think he caught some GREAT shots! Mandy’s little Harper and my Olivia did some fabulous posing, Marie’s son has the “neener-neener” look PERFECTED, and Alli’s lil pumpkin is just that – a PUMPKIN!

Once the photos were printed and handed out, we piled into 2 Macy’s elevators and headed outside to Seattle’s Best Coffee for appropriate sustenance before we all hopped onto the King5 Holiday Carousel… ALL 19 OF US! It is clear that Lyndsey and her yummy little guy, Kat and the 2 Lucy’s had absolutely no fun on the carousel…

Carousel fun

I was able to manipulate a stranger into taking a group picture without taking-off with my camera… Louise’s little man sat on my lap, and oh, she’s got herself a little Prince Charming in him!

Look at that. Makes my heart all mushy and warm-feeling. Those ladies. Those kids…

*end big-group excitement*

We all went our separate ways. My husband met us for dinner downtown, and we continued to tear-up Seattle… hanging out with gold-painted street performers, and then we killed some time in Brookstone and, um… Yes, I think massagers are on the childrensssess wish list now.

oh my kids...

A big thanks to Macy’s for helping create a wonderful afternoon and springboard to an equally wonderful evening… And for pretty, building-sized, sparkly stars too! And if you or a child you know still needs to chat with Santa – Macy’s Santaland in Seattle is open from 9 to 9 until December 23rd!
