It’s the FOURTH Annual POULSBOPALOOZA in 3… 2…1…

In it’s fourth year, Poulsbopalooza is.

This Saturday, August 11, 2012!!!

This local event is particularly near-and-dear for several reasons:

1) It started small (2009) in an effort to bring the stage to us… Don’t wait for an invitation, people. Become THE INVITER… A local park had a stage. I called up the local parks and rec and asked about renting it… I think it cost a whopping $35 for an afternoon of rockin’ out with friends and a wonderful event that has doubled in size each year since.

{The good old days…}

2) Giving back… In 2010, my daughter and friends sold lemonade and made about $42 that went to the local Humane Society. Last year, we collected enough diapers and monies to keep a baby’s bottom freshly diapered for almost a year and a half!!! The diapers went to a local diaper bank. THIS year, we are taking donations to help the Coffee Oasis Teen Drop-In Center as they raised funds towards getting their doors open! Hitherhencetofore… are asking for $5 donation for entrance to join our rock party. Above $5 would be cause for me to bow to you and thank you until I lose my voice…

3) It’s local music. Local musicians. It’s like support local business and art, but MUSIC.

4) It’s family friendly. Poulsbopalooza last year…

This year the tunes will be droppin’ at the Slippery Pig Brewery in Poulsbo… The Coffee Oasis (fundraiser beneficiary) will be on-hand with their fantastic food, as well as their drip and iced coffee! Poulsbopalooza will also feature 3 more flavors of Kitsap. Bonfire Oven Works will drag out their mobile wood fired pizza oven, Viking Feast Ice Cream will have the cranks turning, and Jones Family Farm will serve up some of their yummy pulled pork and ribs!

And I may or may not be throwing OREOS. *ahem*

I heard a rumor a henna artist will be there… *does victory fist*
