*I received two media tickets to review WICKED. All opinion is my own.

WICKED at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle is here NOW!

Confession: I have loved this show for years, so is this even a review? I love it I love it I love it! I saw WICKED at the Paramount with my daughter Olivia… 5 or so years ago. When I learned the show was coming back, I WAS SO EXCITED! WICKED is absolutely one of my most favorite shows.

But…what if this cast was terrible? I felt it was my duty to do the hard work, see the show again, and take the risk for YOU.

I am here to serve.

THIS JUST IN: THIS CAST IS NOT TERRIBLE AND YOUR LIFE WILL BE BETTER IF YOU GO SEE THIS SHOW.

I am not at all dramatic and do not feel at all passionate about how fantastic this show is. Obviously.

Performances of WICKED at the Paramount Theatre run June 12 to July 7… so get your tickets PRONTO.

Speaking of tickets… a day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of seats will be held for WICKED. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at The Paramount Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only.  This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.  Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.  The production is directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello with musical staging by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento.  WICKED is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

WICKED takes a look the story of what happened in Oz from a… different perspective. It is a FANTASTIC storyline paired with a downright talented cast! Lucy and I were captivated from start to finish.

I give this show FIVE STARS.

Or can I give it FIVE MAGIC WANDS?
