The Monday Minute (or two): National Donut Day!

Happy Monday friends!

Just doing my part to help make a Case of The Mondays a GOOD thing! See also: Friday June 3 is NATIONAL DONUT DAY!!!

Today is Memorial Day… so let’s be sure to take a few moments to appreciate the freedoms we have. Our freedoms came a price. A very high price. It’s so hard for us to truly understand the sacrifice that has been made by our service men and women. And their families. To be on the front lines… to see the things one sees in war… to endure the memory of those moments… to be at home not knowing what your loved one is having to endure… I just have so much gratitude. It’s overwhelming, in fact, to think about what many have had to suffer through. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank those who have served and those who continue to protect our nation.

On a lighter note, in addition to Memorial Day it is “My Bucket’s Got a Hole in it Day”.

It happens, y’all. Holes in buckets and whathaveyou.

On Tuesday, don’t forget to speak in complete sentences for Speak in Complete Sentences Day. Wednesday is “Wear a Dress Day.”… and Thursday, according to this site it is Yell “FUDGE” at cobras is North America Day. Who knew? Who knew cobras were such a threat in North America. Or perhaps they are not, because this day exists. We may never know.

The most exciting day this week, in my opinion is Friday… it’s National Donut Day!

You can make your own donuts. You can buy them. I am the “buying” kind-of National Donut Day observer. If you observe the day, what kind of donut do you plan to get?
