School of Rock – The Musical

This show is based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same name, featuring music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Julian Fellowes, choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter and direction by Laurence Connor.

And my Seattle friends… it is not here for long! This show runs at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre May 12-19. I had the privilege to attend opening night, and my husband was my +1.

The husband and me at Seattle's Paramount Theatre for the School of Rock Tour!
I knew I HAD to take him, though everyone in the family wanted to draw the short straw on this one. The movie is one of our family’s favorite. But my husband is in a band, so… he won this time!

Our review in summary: WE LOVED IT!

Our recommendation: GO SEE SCHOOL OF ROCK!

You may have heard rumors around this show, that the kids play their own instruments.

All the kids in School of Rock really play their own instruments! These kids are truly all quadruple-threats... signing, dancing, signing, and instrumental-ing!

School of Rock at Seattle’s paramount Theatre was a BLAST.

It’s one thing to watch a troop of professional adult performers knock it out of the park, but with it’s a crew of KIDS knocking out of the park… just WOW.

WOW! Talk. About. ENERGY!

But don’t take my word for it. Information of tickets and show dates are listed below. I highly recommend seeing this show. I PROMISE that you will leave smiling and wow-ed to pieces!
