This is just a huge post of pictures.
And also commentary.
Because I WILL NOT BE SILENCED
These are pictures of that one Sunday in October we went to a local pumpkin farm and corn maze and it was warm and sunny and my kids are growing up so it’s not so easy to get permission from them to take cute pictures of them choosing pumpkins and riding in wagons and such. And also the pumpkin carving. Yes, we did it all in ONE DAY.
ONE.
Check and CHECK.
I now present to you a pile-o-pumpkins sans cute children…
I am learning piles of pumpkins are much more cooperative subjects.
And when all else fails… dad, Mimi, and mom will step up to the *plate*…
Of course, Lucy is almost always up for a photo opp.And somehow I got Livi too. I think I told her I wasn’t going to post it anywhere. Oops.
And there’s me… The camera doesn’t scare me!
What?
Not only were there piles and rows of pumpkins (HEY. WHERE ARE THE VINES?!)… There were also painted pumpkins. Which is CRAZY! I want to know where they got seeds to grow painted pumpkins…
Since we are so big and tough we didn’t need a wagon to transport our goods…
And then we put our junk (pumkins) in the trunk…
*insert campy whistling song here*
Of course, a trip to the pumpkin patch isn’t a trip to the pumpkin patch without a PHOTOBOMB!
And then we headed home to carve our beautiful orange gourds…
Lucy was a bit upset when she used a permanent marker to draw her design and decided she didn’t want the design she drew…
But we discovered something wonderful… Those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser things were truly magic and gave her pumpkin (and HER) new life…
Meanwhile… Joel became distracted. Which meant his final product looked like this:
And my pig dish-o-gourds just sat there. Unable to help at all…
Livi and dad expressed their Seahawks fever…
