Or walk out everyday!
I find when I use a step tracker/activity tracker I find reasons to walk more.
I am a very competitive girl, especially with myself…. so this idea of tracking my steps is quite the motivator.
I find if I feel I am low on my step progress I will choose to park further away or take a few extra steps here and there.
Or even make time to walk.
Imagine that!
Which leads me to… “Walk Out on Wednesdays”… a little campaign crafted by the Omron folks to help folks get their feet moving. I think it is quite clever because… specifically due to wanting to reach my end-of-the-day goal I will make me WALK OUT.
I mean… I don’t walk out on my family or my responsibilities. Well, not for too long.
It’s just so nice to get some time in the fresh air. Some time to listen to nothing or anything. MY music. MY podcasts. Or even just the sound of birds and my own breath…
Not only do I get added motivation to get my buns going, I get to have a little emotional time to think or not think and breather some fresh air.
The Omron Alvita Wireless Activity Tracker is a small guy, but not too small. You can wear it with the clip or without. There is an app that pairs with your phone so you are not only able to keep track on the simple device, but on your phone as well.
There’s another bonus to this particular device – it’s inexpensive. I have found the acquisition of fitness trackers can be hindered due to cost. The Omron Alvita Wireless Activity Tracker costs $45 bucks.
That’s it. It’s simple to use and to pair with your phone. I am a big fan of simple, inexpensive things that get me going and improve the quality of my life.
What about you? What motivates you to walk out… to get your work-out on?
