You read that right.

Kevin. He’s the oldest. He’s a Lab-Retriever type. We got him when he was 8 weeks old from the Humane Society. Such a sweet wittle puppy he was. He was so snuggly and mellow and sweepy… until we brought him home. That was the first time we saw the REAL Kevin.
4 1/2 years later, he still thinks he’s a puppy and tries his hardest to find a way to snuggle up on laps.
Kevin wags his tail in a circle, which, we’ve been told means he’s pretty special as far as good dogs go. He just needs love. And a treat every-so-often. He’s a bit co-dependent. Not at all a flight risk. But he does jump on people when they visit. Just because he has so much love he wants to show them.
And then there’s Gus. We got him from friends when he was about 3 months old. My husband saw a picture of Gus on Facebook and was all, “I LOVE THAT PUPPY, JENNY.”
Gus will be one in December. He is co-dependent on his people, just like his big brother. But he is a Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, poodle, Schnauzer-mix. Yep. He’s much smaller than Kevin… weighing in at 13 or so pounds. He is much easier to snuggle, but his hair.
IT’S EVERYWHERE.
And he loves walking around with an apple in his mouth. By appearances, Kevin and Gus are polar opposites. But appearances only. They are both think they are people. They both need to be right next to their people. And when you say “outside!” they hop up and come running. They love going outside.
That’s a good thing because time outside is really good for the doggies.
