Life in the Backseat: Subaru Backseat Living #SubaruBackseat

Oh the stories that come from the backseat. Moms and dads, you KNOW what I’m talkin’ about.

I have joined with the Subaru Forester program to bring you one of my own backseat stories. Actually, I am sharing two. Some might say I over-share but I don’t want to gossip…

Since my girls (8 and 11) were recently in a musical, the backseat has been filled with lots of singing.

LOTS OF SINGING.

But since my 3 kids are just under 3 years apart, there was a time I had a 1, 3, and 6 year old in the backseat. I would say during THOSE days the backseat of our car sounded a lot like this:

I replayed :25 to :30 several times because… I DIE. As hilarious as those times are/were, I am pretty OK with the fact that we have moved beyond that level of bickering.

Tween eye-rolling is so much, um… quieter.

Nowadays, with an 8, 11, and 14 year old… we pump A LOT of music through the speakers. From practicing songs for the next musical to Taylor Swift to a nod to MC Hammer here and there, and of course… Dubstep.

Yep. you read me right… DUBSTEP.

It gives me and my boy something to talk about. That, and YouTube.

Nowadays, I think we are quickly approaching backseat disco parties like this:

That’s totally going on my life menu. That video makes me want to plan our next road trip NOW.

I know… The theme could be THE INGRAM FAMILY’S DISCO ROAD TRIP THROUGH AMERICA’S TUNNELS!

We could do it in any car, but looks like  it would be fun to do that road trip in a Subaru Forester?. Word on the street is the all-new 2014 Subaru Forester? is built from the backseat forward, to hold your most precious cargo. You know… like the kids and glow sticks and stuff. I know my family is always game and we have the dashboard pictures to prove it!

By answering the following question: ‘If your backseat could tell its story, what would it say?’, you have the chance to win $1,000 from Subaru! And by visiting the Subaru Forester?hub page here you can find more videos from Subaru and more backseat stories from other readers!
