Homemade Hot Cocoa.
Who doesn’t love a little hot cocoa?
My family’s favorite hot cocoa is the kind I make. It’s my the recipe my mom used when I was a kid.
Now that my hot water comes to me caffeinated (coffee)… I love to add this hot cocoa mix to a cup of coffee.
SO good.
It’s also one of those homemade giftables that’s fairly easy to make and give… whether in observance of the Christmas season… or just a thoughtful winter-warm-up giftable!
Just watch… see how easy this is?!!!
Mom’s Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix
32 oz Nestle’ Quick
20 oz. powdered/dry milk
2 cups non-dairy creamer
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Mix well.
Stir 1/4 cup in a mug of hot water. Or hot coffee!
Stir with a peppermint stick or/and top with marshmallows… or whipped cream!
Just go crazy and have fun!
For a gift, a quart-size jar works great. You can get a little over 3 cups of mix into one jar (about 10-12 servings)… This recipe makes a little over 5 quarts.

I made jar labels printables if you’d like these for your own gift-giving purposes. There are two styles with two sizes… one for wide-mouthed mason jars and one for regular mouth mason jars. I simply trace the lid and cut out. If you have a big circle cutter or punch, that would be even easier! I made a couple label options… since hot cocoa isn’t just to enjoy at Christmas!
