I have always wanted to throw a lovely outdoor party.
11 Ways to Impress Guests at Your Outdoor Party!
An evening party.
Or an afternoon party.
Or a brunch party.
Or just party party.
Of course sites like Pinterest only fuel my desire. I became obsessed one evening (some people watch The Walking Dead, others go to Pinterest). I figured I’d share with you some of the ideas I was most impressed with. Someday I hope to WOW my own guest with some, or ALL of these ideas at my own party!
I’m a sucker for Mason jars. And also cocktails. This is basically life – MASON JAR COCKTAILS…. pre-made, y’all!!!
As lovely as outdoor parties are… BUGS IN FOOD are not. I love clear glass (see mason jar confession above). I like the way the colorful food is a natural decoration, and the glass jars gives the food table a more grown-up feel. But not TOO grown up…
Mason jar luminaries (and bug repellant!)…
A little (or not-so-little) station for everything! From towels to utensils to recycling to trash to sunscreen to a place to stash shoes… this little station is pure brilliance! And also convenience – especially for guests who need something but don’t want to bother the host…
The utmost effort in courtesy. A little sunscreen, a little bug repellent all within easy reach! LOVE this idea!
What’s an outdoor party without S’mores? This station idea is just the best! And clearly, I have a glass jar *thing*…
This one here is a GAME CHANGER. Prosecco and popsicles! I guess this would need to be an idea just for adult parties thought… don’t want those tiny hands getting confused about what popsicle is OK to grab 😉
Speaking of little fingers… even big fingers. I love the idea of a Sticky Fingers Station – ESPECIALLY when S’mores are being served.
Ice is always an important piece of a successful outdoor party. THESE ice cubes are especially charming and there is no doubt guests would be VERY impressed to see this in a drink. Or a few.
The charm (or devil) is in the details. Sure, it’s easy to put out condiments in their branded containers. It does the job, but if you want to impress everyone with your party-throwing charm… it’s the little details. Like serving condiments in something like this! Man, I really do have a thing for Mason jars, don’t I?
And nothing says, “I care about you, my guest” like a BLANKET. I LOVE this idea. I tend to run cold, so maybe this is more meaningful to me than others. But we all know that sometimes summer nights end up leaving guests with a chill. What a charming way to help friends stay cozy, right?!
Do you think these ideas will help impress guests at your outdoor party? What do you think? What are ideas you have done (or seen) that have impressed you? Do you throw outdoor parties? Do you throw ANY parties?
I want to throw more parties… I feel like I haven’t thrown a good party in yeeeeears. I think it’s time.
