Red Nose Day 2017

No, I am not talking about a day dedicated to the dearly beloved Rudolph.

I’m talking about an event that is now in its third year (wow!) that helps children in poverty here in the U.S. and internationally.

Red Nose Day 2017

Red Nose Day | May 25th
It is very likely you have heard of Red Nose Day… but when is it, and do you know what it is all about?

Let me break it down for you just in case…

– Red Nose Day is May 25th.

– Check out #RedNose on social media to follow along.

– $0.50 of every $1 red nose sold at Walgreens goes to help lift children out of poverty in the U.S. and internationally.

– Funds benefit Comic Relief Inc.’s Red Nose Day Fund, which supports programs that ensure children and young people most in need are safe, healthy and educated, both in the U.S. and abroad.

– Noses went on sale April 17th, so it’s not too late to get yours!

– You have until June 3rd to get one, or a whole bunch of red noses! So don’t procrastinate!

– Y’all can also support the cause by purchasing Red Noses exclusively at Walgreens for your school or workplace. Or organize a fundraiser!

– Cash donations can also be made at any Walgreens location.

– Tune into NBC for the Red Nose Day Special on May 25th at 8 p.m. ET!

Here’s a fun video that explains it in greater, red-nosed detail!

Poverty is not funny.

Especially childhood poverty. Red Nose Day works to help bring and give light to the subject, and with all our participation we can all work together to help lift the burden of poverty off children locally and worldwide. But it can’t happen with one person. It really does take a village.
