I am thankful. And this post is proof.
Let’s just get a few things out of the way lest you judge me as superficial and deep as something that is… not actually deep. I am thankful for:
- My family
- My friends
- My home
- Our car
- Our health
- COFFEE
- Chocolate
- Most baked goods
- Even my arch nemesis: LAUNDRY. Laundry means we have clothing. Plenty of it. Something I do not take for granted.
But all those things are so OBVI.
How about some creative thankfulness?
My name is Jenny and I am thankful for… in random order… because I think random order is sexy and/or I am making up this list as I go. You decide.
- Being born in the 70’s. Riding one’s bike without a helmet? WINS ALL THE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!
- We live in a day where one can find a coffee shop every 10 paces.
- Scarves. I love.
- Zip-up hoodies.
- Sliced bread. Seriously. It’s so handy not to have to slice one’s own bread.
- Ready-made pie crust in the freezer section. ::happy dance::
- FREEZERS. I think that is one of the best inventions of our time. I love a freezer.
- Costco (see #7 and also #6)
- Tacos.
- Sparkling water.
- Compliments.
- Sparkly things. Even water.
- Pretty fonts.
- People who smile back.
- People who forget your name too (misery loves company).
- Peanut butter-filled pretzels.
- Foil. For hair. ::says the not-natural blonde::
- SEAT WARMERS.
- Fabric shavers.
- Lint rollers.
- The fact that I was able to deep fry a Twinkie in my lifetime. ::waves farewell to Hostess::
- Colored tights.
- Being right all the time. Hush.
- ROBOTS.
- Pillows.
- Fairy gardens (there will be a video on that someday…).
- THIS MAC-N-CHEESE RECIPE by Noble Pig. ::be still my heart::
- Garlic bread.
- Pastries.
I could go on.
Really.
TAMBOURINES! I AM THANKFUL FOR TAMBOURINES!!!
But seriously. I have so much to be thankful for… all the silly things and all the big things.
ALL OF THE THINGS come together to create this life.
And I am thankful.
