Ageless Art – Creative Expression for Elders with Dementia

Ageless Art – Creative Expression for Elders with Dementia is, “a film about creative arts programs for people with dementia. We then transform their art pieces into cinema. Part doc, part movie.”

Recently, my friend Noah Applebaum shared with me this project he’s been working on. This is Noah and me, just being people. Normal people being normal…

@noahapplebaum & @jennyonthespot
Noah is a filmmaker working on a project that can make a difference… for our elders/seniors. These people have built lives, and families. They are grandmothers, grandfathers, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers… Significant. Important. But often forgotten.

“The human is still there, it’s just that they are LOCKED behind the disease…” Elizabeht “Like” Lokon Ph.D

From the Kistarter page:

With Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, we can never go back to the way it was- and that’s heartbreaking- but we do have the power to journey to fantastic new places…together. There is still value, there is still a human being, and, like all of us, there is an incredible artist inside.

… We’re not looking for a blockbuster sale, rather a campaign platform to introduce the world to the power of creative expressions programs for people with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

There are SO MANY options for giving. Especially this season. But I invite you to take a moment… visit the Kickstarter page for Ageless Art to find out how you/we/us can help this project get this project off the ground. It doesn’t take a lot from any ONE person, but a little from MANY… so please share!
